A faster site so homeowners call you, not the next result.

Site speed optimization for home service businesses: images, scripts, hosting, caching and page builders tuned so your pages load fast on a phone with a weak signal. People searching for an emergency don't wait. We make the fixes, test them on real phones and keep the site fast after updates.

Seven seconds to show the phone number

Example: a locksmith's site took almost seven seconds to show anything useful on a phone. A homepage slider, uncompressed photos, a chat widget and three unused plugins all loaded before the call button. We removed what wasn't needed, compressed and resized images, delayed the chat, and set up caching. The page now loads in under two seconds, and more visitors tap to call.

Why speed matters for contractors

A slow page loses the call before it rings.

Most homeowners find you on a phone, often in a hurry. Speed affects whether they stay, whether they call and, to a smaller degree, where you rank.

01

Emergency searchers don't wait

Someone locked out or with a broken garage door taps the next result if your page is still loading.

What we do: fast loading of the first screen, with the phone number and main message showing first.

02

Page builders and plugins add weight

Sliders, animations, chat widgets and leftover plugins slow most contractor sites more than anything else.

What we do: a cleanup that keeps the look you want and drops the code that only adds weight.

03

Speed fades over time

New photos, plugins and updates slowly make a fast site slow again, and nobody notices until calls drop.

What we do: monthly speed checks and fixes after updates, so the site stays fast.

What usually goes wrong

The speed problems we fix most.

Almost every slow contractor site has two or three of these. Fixing them rarely needs a redesign.

The problem

A homepage slider loads five full-size photos before anything else.

Our fix

One strong, compressed image with the main message and call button showing first.

The problem

Job photos are uploaded straight from the phone at 4 to 6 MB each.

Our fix

Photos resized, compressed and converted to modern formats, with lazy loading below the first screen.

The problem

Chat, reviews and tracking widgets all load at once.

Our fix

Non-essential scripts delayed until the visitor scrolls or interacts, tracking kept intact.

The problem

Cheap shared hosting with no caching set up.

Our fix

Caching and a CDN configured, and a hosting change recommended only if it's really the bottleneck.

How we measure success

Four numbers. Every month.

We track Core Web Vitals from real visitors in Search Console, run monthly mobile tests and watch calls and forms alongside them, so you can see speed improvements turn into more contact. You get a short summary every month, and a heads-up if an update slows the site down.

☎

Calls

Tracked numbers on your site, profile and ads, with source, duration and recordings, so you can see which calls became jobs.

✉

Forms

Every quote request and booking form, tagged by the page and the search that brought it in.

⌖

Map rank per area

A grid of ranking points across your service area, so you see the towns where you win and the ones still missing.

$

Cost per lead

What you spend divided by real leads, by channel. The number that tells you where the next dollar goes.

Questions

Site speed questions.

Something else on your mind? Send a message and we'll reply within one business day.

Does site speed affect Google rankings?

Yes, but modestly. Page experience, including Core Web Vitals, is one of many ranking signals, and it rarely beats relevance and reviews on its own. Speed matters more for calls: slow pages lose impatient visitors before they ever see your number.

What are Core Web Vitals?

Three measurements Google uses for page experience: how fast the main content loads (LCP), how quickly the page responds when someone taps (INP) and how much the layout jumps while loading (CLS). Google measures them from real Chrome users.

My PageSpeed score is low. Is that a problem?

Not always. The score is a lab test on a simulated slow phone. What matters more is real-user data in Search Console and whether people can see your number and call quickly. We fix what affects them, not just the score.

Do I need a new website to make it faster?

Usually not. Most speed problems come from images, plugins, scripts and missing caching, which can be fixed on the current site. If the theme or builder is the real limit, we'll tell you and explain the options.

Will speeding up the site change how it looks?

We keep your design. If something like a slider or animation costs a lot of speed, we'll show you the trade-off and suggest a lighter version before removing anything.

How is this different from technical SEO?

Site speed is one part of technical SEO. This service goes deeper on speed alone. Our technical SEO service also covers indexing, site structure, schema and redesigns.

How long does it take?

The biggest fixes are usually live within the first week or two. Google's real-user data updates over about four weeks, so the Search Console report catches up after that.
